Senator Cornhole Does The Wall Street Shuffle

By Manifesto Joe

It comes as no surprise to some of us that Texas' junior U.S. senator, John "Cornhole" Cornyn, is one of Congress' most servile right-wingers. But just how servile Sen. Cornhole is to the "repeal the New Deal" crowd on Wall Street wasn't quite apparent until the past week.

In an e-mail to Texas MoveOn members, MoveOn Executive Director Justin Ruben of Austin wrote:

You're not going to believe this.

In the midst of an economic crisis caused largely by Wall Street greed, our senator skipped this week's vote on the stimulus plan so he could meet with —- wait for it —- Republican donors from Wall Street.

Sen. John Cornyn wasn't just fiddling while Rome burned -— he was actually hanging out with the arsonists.

He showed us that congressional Republicans aren't fighting for their constituents who got laid off or watched their retirement savings disappear or lost their health coverage. They're just looking out for their big-money corporate friends.

Ruben went on to say that MoveOn mounted a radio ad campaign that has aired in a few Texas markets -- it's surprising that they could find any in this state -- and solicited for contributions to help fund the campaign. If you're interested in helping, visit MoveOn.org.

For more details on the kind of right-wing pond scum Sen. Cornhole was cavorting with Monday, instead of being in Washington for the cloture vote on the stimulus package, here's a link to Ben Smith's blog on Politico.

I have no doubt about how Sen. Cornhole would have voted had he been there -- against anything President Barack Obama advocates. But the point is, he was elected to represent Texans, not the Wall Street high-finance goons who are largely responsible for the nation's economic debacle.

Here's your special Valentine, Texans, direct from loving Sen. Cornhole his own self. Just goes to show that being a right-wing Republican means never having to say you're sorry.

But I'll say it -- Sen. Cornhole, you're sorry.

Cornyn, like McConnell, Vitter, DeMint, Kyl, Bunning, Chambliss, even McCain, Pence, Boehner, and the rest of those corporatist, far FAR right Republicans, are despicable in that they are paid by taxpaying middle class and poor people but do the bidding of corporations and the very wealthy, huge numbers of whom do NOT pay taxes! All are hopelessly out of touch with, and don't understand in the least, ordinary average Americans who make up most of the population. These deviant Washington employees should be FIRED en masse by the voting public next time around, as they are economic TRAITORS working against the best interests of the vast majority of this country!

Cornyn is as disgusting as his fellow GOP politicians like Larry ("Toe-Tapping") Craig, David "Diaper Dave" Vitter, or Mark "I like young boys" Foley. Me? I'm still wondering why male hooker Jeff Gannon was admitted to Bush White House press briefings 155 times despite having zero journalism experience. What particularly puzzles me is why Gannon made 35 trips to the White House on days when there were NO press briefings.

Did you know that Barack Hussein Obama is NOT a legitimate president? He is not a natural born citizen of the United States (as required by the United States Constitution to be eligible for the Office of President). Read the full shocking story that the Liberal press refuses to tell the American people here.

To the previous poster: I have seen multiple reports about this BS in the allegedly liberal MSM -- in fact, that's where I first read about it. Problem is, the previous thing I read about this allegation, before your comment and link, was that Hawaii state officials have Obama's 8/4/61 birth certificate and have judged it completely legitimate.

This sounds a lot like the people who kept trying to say Clinton had about 100 people killed back in Arkansas. Even hired gun Ken Starr couldn't make any headway on that swill.

To that previous "anonymous" poster questioning Obama's lefitimacy: I guess that means the entire Republican congressional body is not legitimate, either, since none of them are representing real Americans and are instead only acting as stooges and puppets of big business and the religious "wrong". Anonymous, you are a sore loser and an ignoramus. Spread your inaccurate racist hate somewhere else!

It amazes me that there are people with such limited mental capacities as the above anonymous poster about Obama's citizenship. This myth was debunked long ago.

I don't blame him for signing in Anonymous, I wouldn't attach my name to such dribble either.

I read where Alabama Senator Richard Shelby has now begun questioning Obama's citizenship. This story continues to gain momentum, as idiotic as it is. It's not going away any time soon. The GOP is bankrupt of ideas---all they have now are slime attacks.

I know I'm way late posting on this, but to the Anon poster on Obama's legitimacy: You are an American citizen if your biological parents are American--not if you're born on American soil or in US territories. It's called birthright by jus sanguinis. Huge difference. Additionally, children born overseas to American mothers and foreign fathers are automatically considered citizens. (Not so much the other way around) BTW, McCain was born in Panama.

As for your senator....well, my state has a couple of buffoons up there too, so you're not alone, I promise.
