Unless they want to go to 60-month tours of duty -- which I read that Army Secretary Pete Geren says have been absolutely ruled out -- reinstatement of the draft is the only way they could wage this kind of expanded war. Ever heard what the 20-something male population of Iran is? -- MJ

Great piece as usual from Greenwald. But you know, the more I think about it, the more my anger is directed to the likes of China and Japan these days.
After all, these two nations are America's bankers. They, not the U.S. Treasury, are the ones who're really financing America's wars.
I think both China and Japan need to stop propping up America's dollar and they need to curb their purchases of U.S. Treasuries. Without their financing, the insane, corrupt U.S. leadership will be unable to continue its wars of aggression.
